Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to complete cities in order?›
No. All 20 cities are unlocked from day one. Pick whichever one interests you — start with your home city, the hardest, or the most famous. There's no progression gate.
How does scoring work?›
Each city has 10 questions. Every correct answer is worth 10 points (100 total). Score 80 or higher to earn a Mastered badge. Score a perfect 100 to earn Gold Master. Below 80 means you need to retry the full set.
Can I replay a city after mastering it?›
Yes, infinitely. Your highest score is preserved, and you can chase Gold Master if you've only earned Mastered so far.
What question types should I expect?›
Every city mixes four formats: 2 two-choice comparisons, 3 four-choice "which is nearest" puzzles, 3 distance-range multiple choice, and 2 drag-to-rank questions. Difficulty increases across the 10 questions.
Do I need an account?›
No signup. Your progress and best scores save in your browser's local storage. If you clear browser data, your scores will reset.
Which distance is used — road or air?›
All distances are straight-line great-circle (air) distances, computed with the Haversine formula on Earth's average radius of 6,371 km.
Is the quiz free?›
Completely free — no ads on quiz pages, no premium tier, no paywall.
